Riad Souafine

My visit was a few years ago, but Riad Souafine still stands out as a delight in every way. I hope I get to stay there again someday.

Bernard and Hassan gave us such a warm welcome, and their advice made it much easier to find our way around the medina. The riad is clean and comfortable, with lovely decor full of detail and oriental elegance. Hassan's Moroccan specialties were delicious, and the panoramic terrace looks out over a breathtaking view of the medina. Thanks to our hosts, our first trip to Fez left us with wonderful memories.

Bernard welcomed us to his riad and helped us understand how to get around Fez. He was available for whatever information we needed, with service that felt both personal and professional. The suites all have their own character and are kept with meticulous care, down to the charming personal touches. The food was excellent too. I had the best couscous ever. It's the most beautiful, welcoming riad I've seen, absolutely charming and thoughtful in every detail. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Bernard.

Since our first stay in April 2009, Riad Souafine has been our place in the medina of Fez. We return with the same pleasure and are always greeted with the same warmth. It's a special, beautiful, charming place, decorated with such care and refinement by Hassan. A true guesthouse where you feel at home and don't want to leave, just like Fez and its medina. Hassan's dishes are always delicious and refined, and Jalal makes savory, inventive desserts. When Bernard gets a chance to cook, he delights us too. For us, it's the best restaurant in Fez. Thank you, dear Bernard, for your friendship and thoughtfulness, and for all those lovely evenings.
