I stayed one night in a wonderful room facing the ocean and really enjoyed it. The host was amazing, and we had a delicious dinner there too.

The meals were all delicious and came in generous portions, and I really enjoyed my stay. The staff are wonderful, and there are activities too. It’s a perfect vibe for surfing, relaxing and meeting people.

The shared bathrooms and showers, plus a slightly rough feel, may not suit everyone, and there are no shortboards. They do have mid-lengths, longboards and lots of foamies. I’d give it five stars for budget travel, though anyone after something fancier should probably look elsewhere. The people, both staff and fellow travelers, were friendly, the activities were fun, and breakfast and dinner were excellent. It’s a 15-minute walk to surf the bay or 5 minutes to Cathedral Point.
