Inside, Dar Les Cigognes is a beautiful, maze-like 400-year-old riad, though it doesn’t look like much from the outside. It was cool, dark, and peaceful, a perfect break from the chaotic city. The roof terrace was gorgeous, with amazing plants, a stunning view of the snowy Atlas Mountains, and spots to sunbathe or sit in the shade under a parasol. Hayat, the manager, gave us a very warm welcome, and she and Hajiba, the concierge, were friendly and looked after us well throughout our five-day stay. We had two great rooms next to each other for our family of five. We also enjoyed a cookery lesson, and the hammam and massage were good.

I’d come back without hesitation. The people at Dar Les Cigognes made this a cherished stay, and I can’t overstate how much they added to the experience. The staff were so warm and welcoming that I felt at home right away. The hotel is beautiful and soothing, a perfect place to recharge after hiking in the Atlas Mountains and walking around busy Marrakech. I highly recommend eating at the hotel and getting a massage there too.

We spent four days at dar les cicognes, just a few minutes’ walk from the medina, which made it a good base for experiencing the real marrakesh. From the moment we arrived, all the staff were wonderful and available whenever we needed anything. The kitchen was very good too. I found the best briwate in all marrakesh, and even asked the manager for the recipe. Heartfelt thanks from all the Filabozzi’s family. Shukran!

The breakfast was top, though bad weather meant we didn’t get the chance to try it on the rooftop. The place felt very authentic, and the staff’s warm hospitality made us feel well looked after. A top stay in Marrakech, and I’d absolutely recommend staying here.

Dar Les Cigognes has a calm, welcoming feel and a great location. Hayat got in touch before my trip, arranged my airport transfer, and even checked in early in the morning to make sure I’d arrived safely. The whole staff were wonderful, super friendly, and attentive to every little thing I needed. Dinner there is definitely worth having, the food was incredible. I felt like part of the family and would 100% recommend it to anyone visiting Marrakech.
