Omaima gave us great service and made a lovely breakfast. She was kind and happy to chat. Our room worked very well for two, and the riad is right in the middle of the Medina while staying quiet. We were welcomed with Moroccan tea when we arrived.

The staff were the highlight. They were so attentive and helped with everything we asked. The rooms and bathrooms were fine, the bed was comfortable, and the location was good.

Ahmed made me feel at ease from the start, greeting me with water and traditional Moroccan tea. As a solo traveller, I appreciated his friendly manner, helpful intentions, good English, and clear communication. His advice on what to do and avoid was valuable. The Riad was clean, and the bed and bathroom were tidied each day. Fresh towels weren't supplied daily, so I asked for some by day three. A minor point, but worth improving. I also expected a bum washer in the bathroom as a Muslim traveller, but it wasn't there. That's not a complaint, just something fellow travellers may want to know. Fatima and her colleague were lovely, attentive cleaners who kept the Riad spotless. I stayed four nights. The Riad is cosy, scenic, and charming, with a satisfactory breakfast selection. Ahmed went above and beyond to help me feel comfortable and safe, and his hospitality made the difference. I'd recommend Riad Moulay Ali to solo travellers and anyone after an authentic Marrakech experience. I look forward to returning. The location is excellent, about a seven-minute walk to the Medina (Jemaa el-Fna), with small nearby shops for essentials like water and snacks. The walk through the alleyways at night initially worried me, but it's part of the old market design's charm. By day the streets are lively with crowds and motorbikes, which I enjoyed as part of Marrakech's culture and energy. Taxis leave you about 200 yards away, so there's a short walk. I found the Riad tricky to locate at first: look for Bazaar Café on the right, then go about 10 metres farther to an alley on the right. The Riad is three doors down on the left.

The staff were really friendly and it was a wonderful stay. From here, you can explore the old city without getting too caught up in all the bustle.
