Rachid and Brahim were always smiling, up for a friendly chat, and happy to share their personal tips about Marrakesh. They made our first taste of Morocco's warmth and hospitality especially lovely. The riad is quiet but very central, close to the main tourist sights, and everything from arrival through departure went perfectly. We felt at home straight away, the rooms were atmospheric, beautifully decorated, and immaculately clean. Breakfast had plenty of variety and was carefully prepared. On sunny mornings, we enjoyed the first sunshine on the rooftop terrace. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Koen & Iris

There were lots of little black bugs in the bed, too. After we checked in, we left our bags in the room and went into town for a couple of hours. When we came back, it was clear someone had gone through them. No one needed to be in the room while we were out. We don't think anything was taken, but it felt invasive and dishonest. Other reviews make it sound like this has happened before, though the Riad seems to deny it. That's a real shame because the place has potential, but going through guests' belongings is inexcusable.

With just six rooms, the warm welcome made the Riad feel like a home away from home for our family of five. We stayed five nights, and Ibrahim, Raheem, and the team looked after us with real care. It's an updated, lovely place in the middle of the Medina. There's a small spa for treatments, and they cook delicious meals to enjoy on the roof. Some building work is happening next door, as in much of the district after the '23 earthquake, but it didn't affect our stay.

The room and lobby were clean and nicely decorated, and we were offered tea and light snacks when we arrived. Staff were friendly to us, and the rooftop views over the surroundings and Atlas mountains were lovely. We didn't stay long enough to try breakfast. We had come across other reviews about cash disappearing from rooms, but since we were only staying a night and leaving very early, we thought it probably wouldn't affect us, especially as we didn't need room service. After check-in we left our bags in a clean, ready room, locked it, took the key, and went out for about 90 minutes. When we returned, our luggage had clearly been moved and gone through to some extent. We don't think anything was stolen, since we hadn't left many valuables. We first saw one price online and walked to the riad to ask about booking directly at the same or a better rate. The in-person quote was about 40% higher. When I went back to book online, the price had risen to somewhere in between. That might not have been the riad's fault, but could be useful for other travelers to know. You can secure the room with a padlock when you go out, but you need to ring the bell to get back into the riad itself and wait for someone to let you in. So if someone went into your room while you were away, they could hear you return and have time to leave the room and open the main door. We also found bugs in the bed while sleeping. They weren't bedbugs, but some other insects. The pool wasn't very clean, though some people might find it acceptable on a hot day. The building next door had apparently collapsed or been damaged and taken down after an earthquake, so getting to the riad means walking past the construction area.

The setting is peaceful and stylish, with lots of character, from the courtyard to the rooftop pool and cosy seating spots. Le Singe Rose is a real gem in the Medina, and the management clearly cares about its guests. Rachid, Brahim, and the Girls were kind and attentive throughout. Everyone was helpful and professional without being intrusive. The management also went well beyond what we expected, helping with transfers, restaurant suggestions, activity plans, and even our luggage arrangements. Their flexibility made a real difference. Our room was quiet, beautifully designed, and exceptionally clean, with Moroccan craftsmanship alongside modern comforts. The bed and linens were high quality, and the bathroom was lovely. We had a perfect stay and would give it more than five stars if we could. Highly recommend.
