MonRiad

We only had one night at Monriad, but took nine rooms. They were different sizes, all very nice, with comfortable beds and decent showers. Breakfast was good too, with cooked eggs to choose from and decent coffee. We also did the hotel’s cooking course. It began with a market visit for ingredients, then we learned to make and pour mint tea before preparing all the parts of a three-course meal. The final result was excellent. The staff were lovely and even suggested places for lunch. Monriad is tucked behind a big door down a beautiful alleyway, and I’d highly recommend it for the location, service and food.

The rooftop was the highlight for me, with a fantastic panorama and beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Sipping tea up there was so relaxing. The rooms were clean, bright and welcoming, and even though the riad is close to everything, it feels tucked away from the city’s noise and bustle. It was wonderfully quiet at night, so we slept well. We spent four lovely nights here and felt cared for the whole time. Every staff member we met was incredibly kind and helpful. Thank you so much for such a special stay.

Monriad is beautiful, comfortable and in a great spot in Marrakech, but Ismail and Hamid are what made our stay so memorable. They were warm and professional, always smiling and ready to help, whether it was sorting out transport and tours or sharing good local tips. Their care made us feel right at home. Dinner in the main courtyard was lovely, and the food was delicious. My room felt spacious and cozy. The rooftop was a wonderful place for group meditation, listening to the city and having some quiet time. It’s a beautiful sanctuary in the middle of the Medina, and the staff made us feel very welcome and looked after.
