Palais Chadmi looks lovely at first and is in a good location. Our room was charming, and check-in went smoothly with pleasant staff. But the dinner we had arranged through the guesthouse website was a mess. They confirmed it at check-in, then when we arrived there was nobody working except the security guard, and no sign of where we were meant to eat. We were sent to the kitchen to set the table, microwave the food, and serve ourselves. The dinner charge was waived afterward, which was the one redeeming part. We also had no hot water, and the bathroom tap control came off the wall. Another guest reportedly had the same hot water problem. The place has potential, but basic repairs, staffing, and communication were lacking. It felt like the owner wasn’t investing in the property or looking after it.

Adam, reja, Abdelmounaim, and Ayoub were incredible. The rooms were clean, the service was great, and the location was good.

Construction started as soon as breakfast was over, and the whole Riad was dusty and smelled of paint. The pool was closed, and we hadn’t been told about that or the work. We were only told it was out of their control, even though we booked just a few days earlier and they must have known what was happening. After hot days of sightseeing, my two children couldn’t swim, which was very upsetting. We paid to spend a day at another Riad to use its pool. This was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity ruined by what felt like a selfish Riad owner. I feel sorry for the employees who have to handle everyone’s complaints.

It’s a peaceful, beautiful riad inside, with a lovely rooftop where we could relax in the sun at the end of the day. The staff were friendly and kind, which made the stay even nicer. The main square is only about a five-minute walk away. We had a very pleasant stay.
