The main drawback here is noise in the warmer months. From spring through summer, the small pool is packed with local resident children every day, and the shouting and screaming make it very hard to swim or relax. Family parties and children playing late into the night are also common, so sleeping can be difficult. Security is present and the building feels safe, but they don't control the noise. Winter, from November to January, is much quieter and peaceful, so it may suit a winter break better. This is a residential building opposite the Jardin Majorelle, with a pretty, well-kept garden and an unheated pool, away from the general bustle. Some people in holiday apartments have reported limited lift access because entry uses a thumbprint. There is underground parking, but check whether short-term guests can use it or if it's only for residents. Some holiday guests have mentioned faulty air conditioning and dated decor, so look into reviews for the specific apartment. The museums and gardens draw police and military patrols during the day, and the area feels secure then. The concept shops and nice restaurants on this street close when the museums do. There are some cafes nearby, including Cafe Carmel, and it's about a 20-minute walk to the main shops and Carre Eden shopping centre in Gueliz. The taxi rank by the museums is busy during the day and empty in the evening; horse carriages park at the end of the street during daylight. Every Saturday morning there's a tiny farmers market at Jardin Majorelle, accessed from street el al fassi, and a small ladies spa further down Rue Yves Saint Laurent stays open later. The YSL museum often has free evening films, sometimes in French with subtitles. Check their website for details.

Our five-day family stay was a series of problems from the start. The apartment we'd reserved wasn't available, and the owner put us in a filthy, dusty substitute that lacked all the amenities promised for the booked place. They demanded cash for a "cleaning" fee when we arrived. Then, before checkout time on our last day, someone was already knocking and telling us it was time to leave. I would not recommend this property.

We spent so much of our vacation chasing Karima and Hicham for help, and the service was awful. We'd call or text and wait hours without a reply. When we happened to see Karima near the pool, she acted as if things were being handled, but nothing actually got done. It's sad to be treated this way while visiting a country known for helpful, kind people. It left us with a bad impression of marrakesh. We booked an apartment for two nights and ran into problem after problem. The AC didn't work and caused a major leak in the entrance; the wifi code failed; there were no towels, sheets, or hand soap, and eventually we had no running water either. Skip this place. You'd be better off somewhere else.

The facilities are good and the location is convenient, but some owners really need to improve how they manage the booking system.

A quiet, pleasant apartment complex with gardens and a pool, right across from Jardin Marjorelle.
