I can't recommend this Riyad (Cinnamon Room) in Marrakech. The room didn't look like the photos, and at first we thought we'd come to the wrong place. It opens onto the ground floor courtyard, so noise carries both ways and it feels far from private. The shower and sink both drained poorly, and the suite had no proper ventilation. Humidity from showers had left mold in two spots, one on a wall and one on the ceiling. Towels were stained, and opening the bathroom door blocks access to the sink. The mattress was old, firm, and noisy, with springs squeaking whenever we moved. Getting there was also unpleasant. The Riyad is reached through long alleys where locals followed us in a threatening way while asking for money. We stayed at a much nicer Riyad for the same price. Look elsewhere.

The terrace was divine, especially for watching the sunset or spending the evening alone reading. The view of the koutoubia is excellent. I stayed by myself from 9 to 14 March 2022 and had all the privacy I needed. The owners were extremely friendly, and the riad had a very cozy atmosphere. Breakfast was wonderful and homemade, and I could choose where to have it. Everything was clean and in perfect condition. Marrakech enchanted me, and I'll definitely come back and stay here again.

I loved spending time on the roof terrace, using the internet and free WiFi. A staff member brought me mint tea up there every day. You can see the Koutoubia mosque and hear the azan from the terrace. My room was simple but clean, and the staff were friendly. I stayed for a week and found it perfect, with the main square, jemaa el Fna, just five minutes away.

The roof terrace was lovely, the breakfast was good, and our room was beautiful. We didn't have a window in the room, which might be standard in Morocco. For the price, everything was perfectly in order. It's a little way from the center, but getting there isn't difficult.

A beautiful riad right in the heart of Marrakech's medina. It can be a little hard to find. There are young male marroquis hanging around who wait for people to ask them for directions, then charge to show them the way.
