Riad Azenzer

We stayed six nights as a group of seven friends. Rashid was a genuinely kind and helpful host. On arrival he welcomed us with Moroccan mint tea, and the breakfast was delicious. We could agree on a breakfast time each morning. He also helped us find a place for dinner on our first night and arrange a taxi. The pool in the center of the riad is cold, but it felt great to cool our feet after long walks through busy Marrakech. Rooms were clean. I’d recommend staying here.

The terrace was a favorite spot, both for relaxing away from the heat and watching the beautiful sunset. This riad has only five rooms, so book early enough. The staff were super nice and helpful, and breakfast was amazing, more than enough for two. Our room was fairly spacious and had a little balcony of our own. The location in the medina is good, on a small alley beside the main road, and we nearly missed it. The front door stays locked, so you have to knock or ring to get in and ask the staff to let you out. It was quiet and relaxing in the middle of a hectic city that felt stressful to me. Perfect for couples and families. If I visit Marrakech again, I’ll definitely stay here.

Bacha was a very welcoming and kind host, and our triple room was comfortable and quiet. Riad Azenzer is about a 10-15 minute walk from Jemaa el Fna Square, the main square in the Medina. If you want a tour guide, she can arrange one. I highly recommend staying here when visiting Marrakech!
