Riad Caesar

I spent two nights here, and the staff were so kind. They helped me get information about places to visit and restaurants, and I really liked their smiles. The riad is right in central Marrakech, so it was easy to get around. I especially enjoyed cooling off in the cute pool after coming back from the heat, then relaxing in the rooftop garden at sunset.

Maha greeted us with a kind welcome and delicious Moroccan mint tea, and we immediately felt at home. Staying at Riad Caesar made our Marrakech holiday one of my favourites. The riad is beautiful, with three floors, a pool in the center, and a rooftop garden where we had dinner one evening. We ordered aubergine salad with lovely spices, a gorgeous tagine, and caramelised pear for dessert. There were lots of menu options, including vegetarian dishes. Our rooms were very comfortable, with good air conditioning and spacious beds, decorated with bright lanterns and stained glass for a Moroccan touch. Breakfast each morning was amazing, with homemade breads and pastries, jams, honey, omelettes, fresh orange juice, mint tea, and coffee. It kept us going for busy days. I’d thoroughly recommend it if you want to feel at home in Morocco! :)

The location is very good, close to the center, though if you come by car you’ll need to park outside. We left ours behind Koutobia Mosque. The hotel is fantastic, and we’d highly recommend staying here if you want to feel at home. Many thanks to Latifa and Hajiba, who were so kind and always helped us. We’re sorry we didn’t get the other staff members’ names, but they were all wonderful too.

The rooms, pool, food, and staff were all amazing. Riad Caesar also sustained only minimal structural damage, despite the earthquake and destruction around it. But the night we checked in, 9/8, was the night of the earthquake, and Youssef got my wife and me out of danger. He guided us over rubble, around downed power lines, and through a stampede of people, staying with us until we were clear of the medina. Youssef, we owe you our lives and will be forever in your debt.
