Right in the heart of the Medina, Riad Chofra made it easy to get to the old city, gardens, museums, Jemaa El-Fna Square and other Marrakech sights. My stay was short, but I enjoyed every moment. The rooftop is lovely, and the riad feels like a piece of art, with beautiful Moroccan architecture and distinctive design in every corner. My room smelled wonderful and was arranged with comfort in mind. The staff were helpful and friendly, and breakfast was both tasty and varied. I’d happily recommend it.

It took me a while to find the place, but the location is great once you know where it is, about five minutes from the Medina's main square and le jardin secret. The rooftop, pool and breakfast are very good value. The rooms are quaint, clean and just right for solo travellers or couples who like a minimalist style. Each day I wished I could stay longer. Cedrick, Ismall and Mohammed were courteous and friendly, helping me with everything, breakfast and directions to good places to eat and visit. The riad raises the bar for this style.

The Souks were hectic and Marrakech was colourful and entertaining, so it was great to have Riad Chorfa as a peaceful place to return to. It’s excellently placed in the old medina, a real oasis among the city’s bustle. Cedric and his team, Aziz, Rachid, Abdul, Amina and Mohammed, helped make our trip memorable and as hassle free as possible. My wife and I were visiting Morocco and Marrakech for the first time, with a mix of excitement and nerves. We came for my sister-in-law Angela Yarwood’s 60th birthday celebrations, from the 1st to 6th October. I’d recommend Riad Chorfa for large groups wanting somewhere calm to come back to after enjoying the city. Rob Yarwood 7/10/2025

The courtyard has five tortoises, and there’s a great plunge pool for cooling off after a hot day in the Medina. They serve breakfast and other meals too. It’s a relaxed place to stay in the Medina of Marrakech. Yan Cedric and the staff were wonderful, always ready to help with things like booking trips and airport transfers. The facilities are great.

Shopping is easy since the riad is right within the market. It also has a pool, a private rooftop lounge and cozy rooms, so it’s a relaxing spot for a holiday.
