Riad Dar Mareme & Spa

I only got to spend two days there, and wished I could have stayed longer. The rooms are amazing, and they offer massages and a hamam, plus a small pool on the rooftop. Anyone who goes there will enjoy it. One tip for the Medina: keep your phone charged. I got lost when mine died. There’s a shop on the corner selling SIM cards with internet, so you don’t need to spend a lot on roaming.

I found it very overpriced. I paid half the price it’s currently advertised for, and even at that discount it didn’t feel like good value. The room was tiny, the bed was very small, and a noisy bathroom air vent ran all the time. Staff were also noisy outside the room very early in the morning. You can find much better places for less.

I felt incredibly safe here as a woman traveling alone. The location is ideal for the Medina, right on the square, so it’s easy to meet tour guides and taxis without getting lost in the Souks. The staff were all friendly and helpful. There’s a rooftop pool that’s a decent size for a dip and a little swim, plus sun loungers and straw hats. Breakfast was yummy and the coffee decent. I also had a Hammam and Massage, and both were brilliant. My single room was just the right size and had everything I needed. I’d recommend this Riad in a heartbeat!

The location made it easy to explore the city, and we’ll definitely return. Our room was spotless, the bed was super comfortable, and the staff were warm and attentive. Breakfast tasted amazing, too.
