The fresh orange juice at breakfast was so good that my sister and I kept joking about it during the rest of our travels in Morocco, along with how much we wanted to return to Houdou. Our stay was a real highlight of the trip. Booking a hammam and massage with Rajaa right after arriving was a great idea, and if you've never tried a hammam, it's a must. Breakfast was delicious, too. Eric, the owner, has made Riad Houdou feel like a home away from home, a peaceful spot amid busy Marrakesh. Before we arrived, the staff were helpful and responsive about the stay and airport transfers, and they accommodated our early departure. Eric and Abdel greeted me warmly, showed me around the beautiful Riad, and shared tips for getting around Marrakesh. There are lots of inviting shared spaces, little cozy corners, and a rooftop for relaxing. Our Tangine room was charming, comfortable, clean, and well cared for. I also liked having drinking water stations throughout. One small heads-up: finding the Riad can feel intimidating at first, especially if it's your first visit to Morocco and the narrow lanes and markets are unfamiliar.

The little things made our stay at Riad Houdou: when my wife wanted a snack, someone appeared with bread and olives, and they also kept our bags while we went on a Sahara tour. Eric, Abdel, and the rest of the team were lovely and ready to help with anything. Coming back from a busy day in Marrakesh, the riad felt calm and restful. The rooms are nicely decorated, breakfast with homemade jams and honey was delicious, and the roof terrace was lovely. All of that came at a very reasonable price. I'd happily recommend it to anyone visiting Marrakesh.

The breakfasts were easily the best of our 16 days in Morocco, and we also ate dinner there twice, enjoying both meals. Nothing gave us cause for complaint, and we'd recommend this place to anyone, whether travelling solo, as a couple, or with family. At the end of our Intrepid tour around Morocco, we spent three nights at Riad Houdou. Walking into the courtyard, with its running water, birds chirping, a tortoise wandering around, and a long-haired Siamese cat fast asleep, felt like bliss. Didier and Eric welcomed us so warmly and showed us around while we took in the beauty of the riad. It's a peaceful haven from the busy medina, somewhere to return to during the day if you want. The staff were lovely as well.

Loved our stay here, and many thanks to the team for all the useful advice and tips. The location is great, and the owners and staff did so much to make us comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful, and they kindly adjusted the time around our planned day trips. Can't recommend it highly enough! 😁😁

The staff were always easy to reach and quick to respond on WhatsApp. They also arranged a fairly priced taxi and luggage service, and could store our bags. The riad felt very safe, with the doors always locked. It was a memorable stay at Riad Houdou. The rooms were beautifully decorated, spotless, comfortable, and felt like home. The food was delicious, and the spa and hammam were well worth trying after a day out exploring. The location is great, about a 20-minute walk from the main attractions, but the riad itself is tucked away and quiet, away from the noise of the medina. Everyone was incredibly accommodating and went out of their way to make our stay wonderful. We'd definitely come back and recommend it to others.
