The location is central, so we could get to nearly everywhere on foot. We stayed at Riad Ida Ou Balou in Oct.-Nov.18 and liked it a lot. The accommodation is simple but clean. Jean Pierre, the owner, is very nice and happy to answer our questions. He has lots of cats, so keep that in mind if cats are a problem for you.

The rooms are simple but roomy enough, and we felt very safe. The host was extremely nice and helped us arrange everything, including tours and tickets. Breakfast was traditional Moroccan food, and it always left us full. There are dozens of cats around, so you really need to like cats to stay here. The smell of cat urine was very strong everywhere, and the place can be quite difficult to find. Even so, I recommend it.

The breakfast was amazing, and the riad has a lovely atmosphere. Jean Pierre made us feel at home and was so welcoming, always ready to help. It was a pleasure spending time with him.

Jean-Pierre was kind, respectful, and always willing to help during our stay. He can suggest places to go and ways to get around this beautiful, slightly complicated city. I hope I can stay with him again 😎 One thing to know before choosing Ida ou Balou: Jean Pierre lives with all the cats. They’re lovely, but if you’re allergic or just don’t like cats, I’d pick somewhere else 🐱

I stayed one night while on my way to Imlil. It was peaceful and quiet, away from the busy street, and John Pierre made me feel very welcome.
