Riad Mabrouk

The staff were professional and the hotel was very clean, with an incredible rooftop restaurant and great views. Its location is excellent too. Still, despite the name, it didn't feel like a traditional Riad to me. The atmosphere was more like a standard hotel and lacked the authentic Riad "magic" I expected when I booked.

The rooftop restaurant was fantastic, and the staff were very friendly. It's a great location, with plenty of things just outside the doors and the souks a 2min walk from the riad. The hotel looks like it was just renovated, very modern and updated. We had a great stay!

The rooms were messy and extremely noisy, with no sound-proofing. Housekeeping was unreliable: sometimes towels were missing, and water bottles weren't replaced. We also got stuck between 2 floors in the elevator. At the bar, the waiter said we could pay by card, but when we tried, they refused and made us go to the nearest ATM. New year's eve was a mess from start to finish. We were forced to pay the ridiculous gala price of 150€ per person. The dinner service was completely disorganized. We waited 1 hour for a bottle of water, which we had to pay for separately, and the entrée we'd ordered at the beginning of dinner had run out. Two of the advertised shows were miserable: the belly dancers stayed for less than 10 min, and the "band" was 4 dudes screaming into a mic. When we got up to watch the fire show, they took our plates before we were done eating. The service and facilities were terrible.

Being able to walk to the popular sights from here was a real plus, and the hotel had all the amenities we needed. The staff were professional, friendly, and ready to help. A special mention to the breakfast team, Latifa bouchra oumaima rachida youssef, and the reception staff meryem khadija fatima hassan a... They were amazing and so helpful. I’ll definitely stay here again next time I come, and I’d recommend it.
