Aziz made us feel welcome straight away, bringing tea when we arrived after a long drive back from the desert. The riad is right in the medina, but feels peaceful once you’re inside. It’s close to the main road, and the streets in this part of the medina are well lit at night, so we felt safe walking back. Our room was quiet and really nice, and the facilities were good. I also had a wonderfully peaceful massage after a few busy days travelling. The breakfast was honestly the best we had in Morocco. We’d recommend Riad Maialou to anyone looking for an affordable, authentic stay in Marrakech.

I had a small accident with my ankle, and I’m very grateful for all the help I got. Everyone was so kind and friendly, more than I’ve experienced anywhere else. The Riad also had a lovely atmosphere and was clean throughout. Nothing to complain about.

We had a really lovely stay in this hidden little Riad. It’s in a great spot and has a relaxed, friendly feel. Youness especially went out of his way to make sure we had what we needed, and breakfast was delicious every day. Thanks for having us :)

Rachid was there to welcome us on our first night and helped us feel at home in his country right through to our last day. He was always around if we needed anything, and we really enjoyed chatting with him. The whole team were so hospitable. Riyad Maialou was a peaceful, clean place tucked away from the busy centre, but still easy to find. Our room was spacious and had everything we needed, and we enjoyed both the delicious breakfasts and dinner. It was our first visit to Morocco, and we were so glad we stayed here. Highly recommend, 10/10.
