Riad Maison Belbaraka

I lost all the money I paid because I couldn’t get a response to my requests to reschedule. My Booking.com cancellation policy said the booking was non-refundable but flexible for rescheduling, and I tried for two weeks. The hotel neither accepted nor declined any of my requests. I called several times too. The person who answered kept saying it wasn’t his responsibility, and couldn’t connect me to whoever was in charge when I asked. I’ve never had worse communication at a hotel. Don’t trust them with your money, their staff couldn’t help with something this simple, so I wouldn’t count on them to handle anything more serious during a stay.

The food was delicious, especially the chef-made tajines and couscous, which made lunch and dinner well worth having there. We also found the rooms clean and the riad wonderfully quiet. The staff were super welcoming and friendly, and everything exceeded our expectations. It’s definitely one of the prettiest riads in Marrakech. We’ll be back!

Omar was wonderful and went out of his way for us. He booked dinner reservations, walked us to the taxis and helped us get fair prices, then carried our luggage all the way to our transfer when we left. Everyone made us feel so welcome. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and breakfast was a 10/10. It was a fun take on a continental breakfast brought to the table, with a little variation each day. We were welcomed with Moroccan mint tea, and the riad itself is stunning. It’s tucked on a quieter medina street, just a few minutes’ walk from all the hustle. I won’t stay anywhere else when I return to Marrakech, and would absolutely recommend it.

Hassan was a lovely, helpful host, and we had a peaceful stay in this beautiful riad. The room and bathroom were gorgeous, and having breakfast beside the pool was a treat. You can reach the central square in about 15 minutes on foot. Everything is close by, yet the riad is far enough from the noise to stay quiet at night.
