Riad Manissa

The terrace gets loads of sunshine and is one of the best features of the Riad. The staff were friendly and helpful, arranged transport and activities, and put together a lovely breakfast every day. Thanks to Youssef and his team for the hospitality! The location is as good as it gets in the Medina: a few minutes from the main square, close to great restaurants, and near a road where you can get a taxi or pickup. Highly recommended.

Our room was on the ground floor, and we could hear loud music from the restaurant nearby, but it stopped around 11 or 11:30 each night, so it didn’t bother us. The Wi-Fi wasn’t great in our room either, though that wasn’t a big issue. We had a great stay at Riad Manissa. The staff were so kind and helpful, the location was perfect for walking everywhere, and Google Maps made the riad easy to find.

The rooms were really nice and the rest of the service was very friendly. The location is very central, though the neighbors next door played loud music until 11. We expected more from breakfast, which was the least extensive we had during three weeks in Morocco, even at hotels costing a fraction of the price. Both times, the tea came microwaved and practically cold. In Morocco, good tea is the least you’d expect. It’s a pity they don’t serve breakfast on the rooftop terrace.

The square is under a 10-minute walk away, and there’s a rooftop terrace for sun or sunset views. We loved the traditional, beautiful riad. Yousaf and the team met us at our taxi so we wouldn’t get lost, then shared helpful ideas for things to see and do. Breakfast was lovely, and our room was cleaned daily. Highly recommend.
