Riad Marhbabikoum

I felt very much at home at Road Marhbabikoum. Its location is central to most attractions, and the owner and staff were extremely warm and welcoming. Beyond the intricate carved-wood facade, the Riad is clean, simple, and thoughtfully put together. The rooms were excellent and comfortable. I can’t quite describe the decor: minimalist, but with so much care in the design, layout, and colours.

Hamza served breakfast each morning, always smiling and ready to help. The room was cozy, with two comfortable beds, extra blankets, towels, and its own heating for chilly nights; daily cleaning kept everything tidy. Valerie and Kali's riad is a charming spot in the heart of the Medina, and the photos don’t do it justice. Every detail is beautifully decorated. It’s serene and felt like a real oasis of peace, as well as a child-friendly place. We highly recommend it.

We stayed four nights at Marhbabikoum and felt at home. There are many riads to choose from, but this one had a warm, professional feel, with a family atmosphere if you want it. Véronique and Khalil, along with Hamza and Fatia, treated us like royalty. We had all our breakfasts there: delicious, beautifully presented, with homemade jams, local honey, and unforgettable msemmens, the Moroccan pancakes. We also ate dinner at the riad every evening but one, when we followed our hosts’ suggestion to try a rooftop restaurant. The dinners were generous and very good, with attentive service. The location is right in the Medina, a few steps from Bahia Palace and a 10-minute walk from Jemaa el-Fna. We wished we’d had two more days in Marrakech to wander the old pedestrian streets, bike around the ramparts, and explore further inside the Medina. We’ll gladly return to Marhbabikoum and hope to see Véronique and Khalil again soon.

I stayed one night and had a great time. The bedrooms were spacious and clean, with everything we needed, and the riad is conveniently placed for a stay in the medina. The food was incredible: homemade traditional Moroccan bread, lots of lovely jams, fresh juice, and other traditional Moroccan food. The amazing staff made it feel homely.
