9/10, would recommend. The staff were extremely kind, greeted us with really good Moroccan tea, and helped sort out the beds after we mentioned I was sharing with my sister. When we came back from being out, they’d separated them. The rooms were great, though I didn’t like the shower. The Riad is close to the main square, and you can get there through the Medina.

I forgot my power bank after checking out, and Ismail went out of his way to make sure I got it back. When I returned, they gave me such a warm welcome. Many thanks to Ismail, Youssef, and The House Made for a memorable stay. Their hospitality was wonderful, and they were always available, day or night, and ready to help.

The place wasn’t perfect, but the staff made up for it. We felt welcome and well looked after, and we were happy with our stay. Thank you!

The rooms are basic but clean, and the place itself is fine once you’re inside. The staff were great and very helpful. Getting in was the main issue: the alley can be dirty and feel intimidating, with people hanging around. One day we had to climb over mopeds left in the porch to enter.

0/10, appalling. EDIT: I’ve never had to write a bad review before. The hostile response to my review reflects the behavior we experienced at the Riad. We were stereotyped as alcoholics because we’re English, even though we had just one evening drinking at a cafe and were back in bed by 10pm. On our first night, we arrived at 10pm after a late flight, although check-in was at 2pm, and our room still wasn’t ready. We had to sit and wait. The room was damp and dirty. There were dead woodlice in the beds, and we woke up covered in bites. I know some things can’t be helped, but there were dead cockroaches in the pool too. The person described as the cleaner came into our rooms and moved our belongings every day, but didn’t clean. On my second-to-last night, I left two silver rings in the room while I went to a day market for four hours. When I came back, they were gone. They still haven’t been returned. Most of the staff were rude and dismissive. One morning, though we were three guests, we were directed to a cramped table for two at breakfast. The manager wasn’t helpful and was extremely rude, eventually hanging up on me. When we raised our concerns while leaving, the person we believe was the manager came and forced us out of the room. She mimicked one of the guests and squared up to her, and the cleaner had to hold her back. Thirty minutes before checkout, she grabbed my arm and physically pushed me. She spat in our direction and slammed the door behind us. We had paid for this service, and the experience was eye-opening. I’m truly shocked and hope no one else is treated this way. I’ll link a photo of the bruise from being shoved, taken 30 minutes after we left. The only redeeming part of the hotel was Smail O-, who was very helpful during our stay. The hotel is a poor reflection of the service he provided.
