Riad Sashema

We loved staying here. Our room was lovely and decorated so well, and the riad sits in a very quiet area, still within walking distance of the centre. The staff were kind, welcoming, and always ready to help. I’d definitely recommend it!

The riad is beautiful and only a short walk from Jemaa El Fnaa. The reception staff could use a lot more courtesy and diplomacy, though. They really need customer service training.

The staff were what made our stay at Sashema memorable. Their kindness and attention made us feel genuinely welcome, and Abdul deserves a big thank you for helping make the visit so special. Moroccan hospitality really is something. The riad itself was just what I wanted: full of character, warm and inviting, with beautiful decor, spacious rooms, lots of natural light, and elegant, relaxing shared spaces. It’s an easy walk to the main attractions and close to taxi pickup points. The neighborhood felt safe and welcoming, though getting your bearings on arrival in Marrakech may take a little time. The team was helpful even before we arrived, sending useful tips that made the trip easier. Breakfast looked lovely and tasted delicious. I usually don’t go for sweets, but I enjoyed them a bit too much. The woman in the kitchen kindly made omelets for us even though they weren’t on the usual menu. I only wished there had been some vegetables too. Dinner was very nice and cosy.

The riad was beautiful, clean, and peaceful, in a good spot in the medina near the king’s palace and within a short walk of other attractions. We loved staying at Riad Sashema. Breakfast was homemade and always tasty, though the choices were a little repetitive. I’d recommend it for a short break or a longer holiday.
