Riad See Moon et Spa

Hassan made our visit special. He was exceptionally kind, attentive, and went out of his way to make sure we had a great time. The breakfast was cosy and excellent value. The riad is right in the heart of the Medina, but still calm and peaceful. The one downside during our stay was that the shower only had cold water.

We spent six nights here in late February. It was cold and wet outside, but stepping through the huge door felt like finding a little paradise. The place has a minimal, authentic design, and the rooms are quiet and adequate. The staff were excellent, and breakfast service was cosy, leaving us ready for the day. We also tried the Couple Haman-treatment, which I highly recommend. It’s a bit away from the usual streets, and all the more delightful for it.

The riad was very clean, with nice places to sit and relax in the evening. Breakfast was served in the courtyard each morning, often right outside our room, with a great range of local food. There’s also a spa with several options, though we didn’t use it. The staff were incredibly helpful when we arrived. They spoke great English and gave us useful advice about where to eat and what to do nearby, and were always around when we needed help. The location felt secure and safe, just a few minutes’ walk from the Medina. Nearby streets had good places to eat, and there were always people about, so we had no issue walking back late at night. We joined the cooking class and found it really interesting to see how Moroccans prepare food with a Tajine. I’d highly recommend it. The riad is in a fantastic, peaceful area away from the city noise.

Our family felt welcome from the start, thanks to the friendly, helpful staff who assisted with all our questions and requests. The room was clean and comfortable. We stayed in the Africa suite, with two separate bedrooms, which suited us really well. It had no TV, and that was actually perfect, it helped us wind down. We had a great stay and would recommend this quiet, peaceful riad to anyone visiting Marrakech who still wants to be within fairly easy walking distance of places.
