Riad Timila

Mouad was so attentive and helpful from the moment we arrived, and made us feel at home. We spent three days here and had a wonderful time. It’s a peaceful spot for unwinding after exploring the city, even though you have to walk a short way from the road since cars can’t reach the riad directly. The bedrooms, bathrooms, and shared spaces were all clean and comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful, with a nice range of tasty options.

The souks can be chaotic, so coming back to this beautiful, comfortable riad felt like finding a calm little refuge. The Timila team were generous and looked after us so well. They taught us some of the language, helped sort out logistics, and cooked lovely meals, including food adapted for me as a vegan. Can’t recommend it enough.

The food was better than at most of the restaurants we tried, and the Riad felt like a little paradise. Brahim, Ishmael and Henea (excuse my spelling) looked after my partner and me so genuinely during our three nights there. I’d definitely recommend staying here for an easy, relaxing visit to Maraccech.

February 2024. Mouad, the riad’s main contact, was a pleasure to deal with and very accommodating about when we wanted breakfast and dinner. The place was clean and quiet, with comfortable beds. Since taxis can’t get right up to the hotel, someone met us at the taxi and guided us through the maze. After a quick tour, they walked us about five minutes to Jamal En Fnaa so we’d know our way back. Riad Timila had also contacted us about airport pickup and arranged it for us. Dinner there is homemade, traditional and delicious, so I’d suggest having it at least one night. We’re reviewing from a Canadian perspective.
