Romouz Kasbah Riad

Ayoub was attentive, and the other staff kept the riad very clean. It’s near a few sights in the south of the old medina, with the centre about a 5-10 minute ride away. We had a really nice time in Marrakech staying here.

The interior was our favorite part, though my friend and I loved everything about our two nights at Riad Kasbah. Everyone was friendly and ready to help, and breakfast was delicious. We’d happily return. Highly recommend!

The riad itself deserves five stars, and the chicken tagine was amazing. The hammam and massage package, though, was disappointing and didn’t feel worth the price. We booked 1 hour and 45 minutes, with a 45-minute hammam and one-hour massage, but we were finished in 1.5 hours. The massage was good, but it didn’t last a full hour. The hammam is meant to be 45 minutes per person, yet doing it for two took the same amount of time. The scrubbing and washing felt rough and rushed, washing my hair wasn’t pleasant, and I didn’t see a clay mask. There wasn’t much care in the treatment. The woman was working incredibly hard, though she seemed grumpy. The sales pitch made it sound better than it was. I’d give the hotel five stars, the hammam two, and the massage four, while keeping an eye on whether it actually lasts an hour.

We came here after returning from a three-day desert tour, and I felt amazing after staying here. Even with the riad fully booked, its small number of rooms meant we sometimes had the shared space to ourselves. It felt like staying with family, with two lovely women making fresh food from market ingredients, almost like having your mum cook for you. Mehdi welcomed us and was there each evening, and all the staff were wonderful. Our room was great too, with original-style tiles in the bathroom. This was our safe haven in Marrakesh, and a must-stay if you’re choosing a place there.
