The setting at Selman Marrakech was one of the best parts of our lunch by the pool terrace. It was beautiful, elegant, and relaxing, and the drinks were well prepared with a good range to choose from. But in summer, the heat made sitting outside almost impossible, even with the water sprinklers. The food was a letdown. My husband and I both ordered the carbonara made with calamari instead of spaghetti, and it came with a raw egg yolk. We both felt sick with upset stomachs afterward. The menu should say clearly that the yolk is raw, since not everyone tolerates raw eggs. For a five-star hotel, dishes should be described more precisely so guests know what they're ordering. The dish also had no flavor, which made the meal even more disappointing.

The Chenot spa was lovely, and the staff were welcoming and very professional. We had the ftour dinner at the Selman restaurant because the weather wasn't good enough for the usual asyl restaurant with the horse show. It was the best ftour in Marrakech. It cost around 900 mad. Such a beautiful hotel.

Brunch was made better by Aboubakr's thoughtful, professional service. He noticed every detail, made sure guests were enjoying themselves, and brought kindness, positive energy, and excellent customer care. It was a real pleasure to be welcomed by someone so attentive and dedicated.

The people here are what make the place feel special. Everyone was warm, attentive, and caring, and treated us like family. The spa felt like its own little sanctuary, just the kind of escape I came to Marrakech for, and dinner at Sabot restaurant was just as good. The gardens are lush, the Arabian architecture is stunning, and the whole setting manages to feel grand and intimate at once. A stay I won't forget.

The horse show is definitely worth seeing. It was easy to drive into the old town and visit Marrakesh's tourist sites, then come back to a quiet green oasis. The hotel has an authentic Moroccan style, and the general manager and staff were attentive and caring, making us feel welcome.
