Yaad City Hotel

Just checked out after a couple of nights with family. The rooms were comfortable and clean, breakfast was good, and the cleaners, reception staff and waiters were all friendly and helpful. The WiFi was good too, much better than at Pickalbatross and at a fraction of the cost. I’d stay here again if I need a place in Marrakech.

Yaad was comfortable, and the host was lovely. They suggested day trips and packages and explained them clearly. Room service was up to standard, and getting a taxi or walking around was easy, with plenty of restaurants nearby.

A member of our group had paid 200DH for a private airport transfer through the hotel, but then found another way to the airport and passed the transfer on to three of us. Just before we were due to leave, we were told we’d have to pay another 100DH for the two “extra” people, even though a street taxi costs 100DH for three. We went to look for a cab, but with our schedule tight we came back five minutes later and offered the extra 100DH. The man still refused to take us, and also refused our request for a refund. The hotel itself was okay, though the breakfast bread was stale. I said I’d leave a one-star review, so here it is. If they refund us, I’d be happy to take it down.

The food was my favorite part, everything tasted fresh, and the pool was so relaxing. The hotel was spotless too. We were there with family a week ago and would gladly return. Everyone treated us with so much kindness and patience, and I’m grateful they could fit us in at the last minute after our previous hotel was cancelled. I’ll always remember the people who looked after my family and me. Thank you so much! With love, Alejandra
