Booking the Dar Sharif was a huge mistake. We waited outside for 45 minutes before anyone arrived to let us into our room. It was small and very noisy, and the bathroom is a “wet head” like on a boat, so the whole room gets wet. The location is terrible, in a dead part of Tangier, with tons of steps to climb or descend. Absolutely horrible, the worst room we’ve booked in 20 years.

The breakfast was generous, with fresh fruit, different pastries, and pancakes. The place is beautiful and has everything you need. The air cannon came in handy for drying off after a downpour and keeping warm on a cold night, and it was the best hair dryer I came across on my trip around Morocco. The only thing missing was face towels.

Youness is a wonderful, accommodating host, and we also made use of the same-day laundry and airport taxi services, which were great extras. Our room was clean and comfortable, just right for two people. The Dar is on a residential Medina street, only a few minutes’ walk from shops, good restaurants, and sights. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend it.
