The rooftop breakfast was a highlight, with a lovely Moroccan spread and an amazing view. Staff were friendly, and the hostel looks good, though its cleanliness was about average for a hostel. It was easy to find right by the medina gate, and as a woman travelling solo I enjoyed meeting people from around the world. One thing to know: the women-only dorm door doesn't lock, so I pushed a locker against it to keep it shut.

I felt unsafe and disrespected as a Moroccan woman. I had paid for a female-only room, but they put a man in there and didn't take my complaint seriously. Later, they said everything was full and tried to make me pay extra to fix their own mistake. It felt like money mattered more to them than their guests. This was one of my worst hostel stays, and I won't return.

The rooms were fine, and everything in the toilet worked. WiFi was good everywhere, and the rooftop view over the Medina was incredible. The guy at reception was lovely, took time to chat with us, and made us feel welcome and comfortable. He also showed us a really good restaurant. It got a little cold at night in winter wearing short pajamas 😄.

The younger male receptionist was polite and helpful, but the older one was arrogant and dismissive, with no basic hospitality. When I asked politely for another blanket because our two were too thin for the freezing top-floor double room, he refused and said, “You have two blankets. you are asking for four, six, eight — you are crazy!” A policeman came, and he finally apologized. The toilet was dirty when we arrived, and the hygiene overall was poor. They even deleted our reservation on ‘Booking’, which seemed meant to stop us leaving a review. This was my worst experience in Morocco, and I strongly warn other guests.

The staff made the stay special, always smiling, welcoming, and ready to help with anything. The rooms were spotless, and the rooftop was breathtaking. Right in the heart of Tangier, the place feels like home amid gorgeous Moroccan architecture, with restaurants, cafés, and the port just steps away. I absolutely loved it and can't wait to come back.
