The taxi arranged through the Riad was a big help. Since cars can't reach the front door, the driver parked nearby and walked us through the Medina's maze to the accommodation. That was especially useful just after we'd flown in and had no idea where anything was. Staying here feels like being in a cosy, traditional family home tucked deep in the medina. It was clean, the staff were friendly, and breakfast on the balcony each morning was bliss. We loved the place and highly recommend it.

One of the staff, a very kind woman, neatly packed our bags when we couldn't make it back in time for checkout. We were grateful. Getting around Tangier with a huge suitcase is tough, though, and there are lots of steps with no lift, so plan for that. The room was decent but very average, and the bed wasn't the best. It works for a short stay of 2-3 days if you're out most of the time and mainly come back to sleep.

The owner was friendly, and breakfast on the terrace was really nice. The riad is charming and clean, right in the middle of the Medina, though it could use a little restoration. Our room's bathroom wasn't ensuite, which can be annoying at night. Still, it was a pleasant place to stay.

Giles and his wife were wonderful hosts, and the staff were great. Breakfast was excellent, and one staff member went well beyond what was needed to help us when we got lost. We had a good stay and would happily come back. A lot seems to have changed since many of the older posts. There are doors on all the windows and even the bathrooms, and toiletries are provided. There's no air conditioning, but we didn't need it thanks to the cool ocean breeze through the Medinah. The downside during our visit was the kids next door screaming, so we closed the windows.
