Riad Golden Mansour

We only went for dinner and didn't stay overnight. The food, dishes, and service were excellent, and I'd highly recommend the restaurant. Our waiter was fantastic, patient, and helpful, and spoke good English. I forgot to ask his name.

We came to "golden mansour" hoping to have a nice time together, but the experience was deeply disappointing. The cappuccinos we ordered tasted like burnt coffee mixed with milk, and we couldn't finish them. They took almost an hour to arrive, and when they did, they weren't what we'd ordered. They came in different cups, looked poorly presented, and put us off drinking them. For that low quality and poor service, the prices were surprisingly high. It spoiled our time together, and I definitely wouldn't recommend the place.

They charged us 40 MAD per coffee, which felt dishonest given the poor service and quality. Even some of the best cafés in Morocco don't charge more than 25 mad. There was no menu or invoice, and the waiter worked out the prices verbally in a way that felt misleading. It seemed like customers were being taken advantage of, though the owner might not know what's going on. The staff were extremely unprofessional and treated us inappropriately. As a Moroccan customer, I felt I wasn't treated fairly, which left a terrible impression. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

We stopped in for a drink first and had really refreshing smoothies made with fresh fruit and spices. We came back for lunch today, and the food was delicious, hands down the best we've had so far in Morocco. The Moroccan salad was especially good, a tasty mix of 4 - 5 vegetarian items.
