Riad Mogador

The location near Medina made it easy to explore Meknes. Our room was clean, nicely decorated, and had everything we needed to relax. From the moment we arrived, the staff were attentive and welcoming, and staying at Riad Mogador was a real pleasure. I’d recommend Riad Mogador to anyone looking for a lovely stay in Meknes’s City.

The rooms are beautiful, and breakfast was great. They even encouraged me to eat when my booking didn’t include breakfast. I left my nice sunglasses in the lobby, and the staff kept them safe. They were helpful with anything I asked. The #15 bus to Volubilis is a few minutes’ walk away, and costs 7 MAD one way.

The riad has beautiful features and could be a good place, but there are better options in my opinion. The advertised idea of living like a sultan didn’t match our experience: ten people were having breakfast practically beside my bed, with only a curtain for cover, and someone could look into the bedroom at any time. The host seemed helpful at first, but later struck me as very dishonest and treacherous. I certainly didn’t feel like a sultan.

Imad was very rude, and the rooms are separated only by curtains. The breakfast table is literally a few metres from the bed, so people can interrupt your sleep. The rooms were very dirty too. I wouldn’t recommend this place even to my worst enemies.
