The room was warm, cozy, and looked great, and the erg is about a 15-minute walk away. There's also a good place to eat nearby, plus the breakfast here is superb. My husband and I arrived from Fess at 5 am on the morning bus. It was completely dark, so the other tourists stayed at the bus station until dawn, but Google Maps worked well and we walked over with our luggage. The walk took 10 minutes. We called the host, and 10 minutes later we were unpacking after they arranged an early check-in. The staff were great and very helpful. I'd give this place 10 stars if I could!
The room works well for a stay, and the kind, sincere owner runs his own desert safari business as well as a small camp. It's a good fit for small family groups looking for privacy and quiet. If you're hoping for a lively atmosphere or a desert party, though, this little camp won't provide that.
In Merzouga, this is a great place to stay. The staff are kind and attentive, the rooms are clean, and the food is good.
The hosts really make an effort to help guests feel comfortable.
