Our night in the nomad camp among the dunes was unforgettable, and Ali’s 4x4 tour was both fun and informative. The hotel is well placed for exploring Erg Chebbi: the dunes begin a short walk away, with plenty of camels to see. The room is basic but has what you need. If you’re after luxury, this may not be the place, but otherwise I’d definitely recommend it.

Ali and his sons can arrange some spectacular outings if you ask, from engine-powered adventures to a quiet night out in the middle of nowhere. When we wanted to stay longer and he was fully booked, he even helped find us extra accommodation. The rooms are simple and pleasant, and the food is clean, comforting, and good. I especially recommend anything served in a tagin, including the berber breakfast omelett. The hospitality was splendid. He gave my husband and me the entire sky and moon, and I’m sure I’ll return.

The owner was so friendly and ready to help with anything we needed. You can see the desert while having a big, delicious breakfast, and after about a 20 minute walk you're on the sand and can climb the dunes. Amazing. There’s no need to stay at one of those overrated desert camps. We also rented Quads with a guide to ride over the dunes and had a great time, at a reasonable price.

Ali was a great host. He even had someone pick me up at the bus stop although I hadn’t asked. The room was simple, clean, and tastefully decorated, and it was very good value. Breakfast and dinner were generous and delicious. I think I had the best tajine I’ve eaten in Morocco. Thanks so much.

We felt right at home in Ali’s beautiful house. The terrace and view were wonderful, and we loved the meals and breakfast. Ali and his sons were so friendly and hospitable that we’re already looking forward to coming back.
