For two years of traveling all over the world, this is the best hotel I’ve stayed in. The prices are fair, the food is very good, and the boss is super nice with great service. It’s especially good for cyclists, motorcyclists, and the like. There’s a lovely 70s retro charm and a great atmosphere.

The food was average at best, though palatable. We started with olives seasoned with local spices, local bread, and pumpkin soup. The chicken curry rice was very mild, with basic curry spices and a touch of turmeric, so it may suit anyone who can’t handle spice, but it had no real oomph. Dessert was melon, apple, and grapes. Service was okay when you were part of a tourist group with orders placed in advance. This rather run-down hotel is in the small town of Midelt, Morocco, and is a convenient stop for tour buses, with fairly decent washrooms and a small restaurant. The decor is simple, with some French influence.

It’s not the place to choose if you need everything shiny and new, since the hotel has seen better days. Still, we ate well, had a great time at the bar, and slept well. I’d definitely come back.

The dirtiest, worst hotel in Midelt. I can’t tell if it’s a hotel or just a bar for alcoholics. It looks like it hasn’t been refurbished since the 1930s, and there’s no comfort at all. Don’t waste your time or money. It’s garbage.

Filthy, and the worst hotel in Morocco. The toilets leaked all over the floor, and the place stank of cigarette smoke. Disgusting.
