Riad Villa Midelt

We only landed here because the first riad we tried was full, and I’m so glad it worked out that way. Everyone was genuinely warm and humble, and the meals were delicious. The room had hot water plus heating and AC, and the bed was comfortably firm, just how we like it. God bless you all. 10/10.

We’d definitely stay again. The garden and pool were lovely places to relax, and our room was spacious and clean. As our first riad experience in Morocco, Villa Midelt pleasantly surprised us with the house, the service, and the food. Breakfast the next morning was among the best we had in Morocco, even compared with other 4+* hotels.

There isn’t really anything to see or do nearby, so think of this as a place to break up a journey. The Riad itself is very nice, with especially helpful, polite staff. We enjoyed both dinner and breakfast.

The food was good, though the servings were small. This was the only place in Morocco where one tajine wasn’t enough for the two of us to share. There’s a big pool, the rooms are plain but clean, and there was hot water. The people and service were good, and the wine was inexpensive. A useful place to pause instead of driving eight hours or so straight between the desert and Fes, though it might not be as hard or dull a drive as it looks. It seemed fully booked with German tourists.
