That rooftop view over the city must be lovely in warmer weather. We were there in December, so the big pool stayed unused. Inside, the rooms were roomy, nicely decorated, and had everything we needed. Our host was so kind, bringing Moroccan tea to our room while we rested after a long day. Breakfast was a highlight too, with local dishes, tea, orange juice, and homemade yogurt that kept us going all day. We loved our stay at Dar Bergui, and I can’t recommend it more for Ouarzazate.

We found plenty of parking beside the property, and cameras monitor the area. The owner and manager were very welcoming, and breakfast was generous and tasty. The nearby mountains make a lovely backdrop, while the pool area is a nice place to spend time, though we couldn't use it in December. The Riad itself is beautiful, with fairly large, well-decorated rooms. A real little gem in Ouarzazate and great value. Definitely recommend it.

The food was the strongest part of our stay. Both breakfast and dinner were outstanding, and so was the chef. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was nice. But we were cold throughout our five nights at the beginning of January. The large reception and dining room were only warmed by a two bar calor gas heater, switched on about 15 minutes before meals. Heating for guests felt like a painful place to cut costs. Our terrace room's Wi-Fi barely worked, so we had to use it in reception, where it was still a shambles. The owner was never around, and the two staff who cooked left as soon as dinner service ended. Too cold and too impersonal.

Set high in a quiet part of town, this old riad has been restored beautifully and feels charming. It’s a short walk down to the main square, with its shops and restaurants, and we also managed the walk to the kasbah and back without much trouble. The staff were lovely and breakfast was good. The pool and the area around it are beautiful, though December was far too cold for us to use them.

Brahim really looked after us, even waiting at the airport after midnight when our flight was diverted and delayed by five hours. The whole staff were brilliant and the service was great. Our room was amazing, with a beautiful view over the city. The location is handy too, just five minutes from the airport and close to restaurants and shops. I can’t wait to return to this great city and its great people.
