The hosts were so caring and attentive, some of the best hospitality we’ve had while traveling. We’re really grateful we got to stay at Auberge Le Mouflon, and would have added more nights if we could. Our spacious room had everything we needed, including air conditioning. Outside, there’s a lush garden with fruit trees and lots of plants, plus a pool and a nice seating spot at the front where we ate dinner one evening. Breakfast was included and excellent, with Msemen, omelette, and extras. We also had a Tagine for dinner, one of the best we’ve tasted.

After six hours driving through the Atlas Mountains, arriving at this lakeside hideaway was a treat. The garden is well cared for, with cozy places to sit and a small pool, and our room had plenty of space for two. The hosts were kind, and dinner they cooked was the best. Breakfast in the garden, with local Moroccan pancakes and fresh fruit, exceeded our expectations. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend it.

The reservoir is right beside the property, and the mountain location does mean the wifi is a bit slow. We felt well looked after from the start: our host gave us a warm welcome, helped park the car, and showed us to our room by the pool. Lunch was very nice, as was breakfast the next morning. They also set up a 10 km hike with Hamid, who is 73 years young. I’d strongly recommend it.

I was sad to leave this quiet village in Ouirgane. Over a month of traveling around Morocco, this was my favorite guesthouse. Rachida and her family made my husband and me feel at home, and their kindness and care really touched us. Abdellah always checked that we had our Nespresso and our breakfasts and dinners, and was so attentive. I loved chatting with the sweet daughters, too. Rachida's home cooking is not to be missed, especially her delicious chicken and legume tagine, some of the best food we had in Morocco. Even if you aren't staying, I highly recommend stopping for tea or a meal. We felt the warmth and hospitality of the Berbers. Many thanks to the family for such a memorable visit.

On our second day, we went hiking in the Atlas Mountains with Mohammad, a guide recommended by Racheda. He spoke very clearly and knew the mountain range well. After our four hour hike, he helped arrange lunch and took great care of us. Earlier, our two year old had been so happy there, and Racheda’s lovely daughters made him feel welcome. This was the third stop on our Morocco trip, and we were delighted we chose it. The place was great value, but what stood out most was the incredible hospitality from Racheda, Abdul, and their family, the best we experienced in Morocco. We’ll carry this experience home with us.
