Borj Des Cascades

We were the only guests during the low season, and the staff were so thoughtful that they even brought dinner to our room. They were very friendly throughout our stay. The hotel is huge and beautiful, with a breathtaking view of the waterfall from the room, restaurant, and swimming pool. It was also a really comfortable place to stay.

The staff were welcoming and helpful, and they did their best to make us comfortable. The rooms were clean, simple, and comfortable, with what you need to relax after a day out. The food was good and fairly priced, with traditional flavors, and prices overall seemed reasonable for the area. It’s close to the waterfalls, so the atmosphere feels calm and refreshing. Evenings were quiet and relaxing, a nice chance to slow down and enjoy the nearby nature. A solid place to stay if you’re visiting the cascades and want somewhere comfortable and peaceful without overpaying.

The location is exceptional, with breathtaking views of the Ouzoud waterfalls and mountains. There are two magnificent swimming pools and plenty of places to relax and take in the scenery. But the rooms were only adequate, and the amenities fell well short of what I’d expect from a 5-star hotel. The restaurant wasn’t even up to a 3-star standard. Worse, one employee treated us disrespectfully. His cold, inappropriate attitude didn’t fit professional conduct or the service you’d expect at a 5-star hotel. It badly spoiled our stay and left us with a very negative impression. I’m sharing this feedback constructively and hope suitable steps are taken to stop this kind of behavior happening again.

At the bar, I was charged three times for one round of drinks during our stay at the end of February. The barman said the first two card payments hadn’t gone through, so I paid in cash. When I later checked my account, the money had been taken. I showed him, but he still insisted the payments hadn’t gone through and reassured me I wouldn’t be charged. I was charged 615 dirham for a 205 bill. I’ve tried contacting the hotel numerous times, but nobody has got back to me to resolve it. It’s a shame this one bad experience tainted our stay.
