The staff were quick, kind, and attentive, and breakfast was generous, delicious, and right on time. We also found the price surprisingly low compared with other places. We came from Marrakech and would recommend Rabat even more, especially with a stay here. It made our trip unforgettable. The place itself is fascinating and full of atmosphere, with mosaics everywhere and wooden doors that feel like portals to another world. Our room was enormous, the largest my friend and I have ever had, and it had a raised bathtub. After a full day walking around the city, a relaxing soak was perfect. We're attaching photos because this place feels magical and deserves to be seen.

We'd happily book this lovely Riad again when we're in Rabat. It's close to the seaside, the management are very friendly, and the food was really excellent. Morning service was especially good. Riads can often be cold at night in winter, so this one was a very nice surprise.

Dar Maysanne worked out really well for our Rabat stay. The Kasbah is about a 10-minute walk away, the train station around 20 minutes, and the nearby market with lots of food options is only 2-3 minutes on foot. It's on Rue Farhan Khechan, tucked behind Avenue Laalou, so not every driver may know it. They picked us up at the station for about 10 Euros (100 Dirhams), which could be worth it. A regular blue Rabat taxi should cost 10-20 Dirhams, though you may need to show the map and guide the driver. We especially appreciated the all-female staff, who were generous and sweet and made us feel at home. Breakfast was just the right amount, with breads, jams, butter, cheese, coffee or mint tea, fresh orange juice, fruit, delicious yogurt, and homemade granola. You can also ask for eggs your way. There are three or four levels of terraces and patios for relaxing, including a covered TV and movie area. Watch for a couple of steep steps. Beer and wine may not be available unless requested ahead. The place was clean, and the rooms nicely decorated and furnished, with space heaters. We stayed in the Junior Suite named L’Amante, but the bed could have been softer and more comfortable. I told the staff we hadn't slept very well and hope they change it. We're still glad we chose Dar Maysanne. Note that they only take cash in Euros or Dirhams, or money transfers, no credit cards. There's also a nightly tax of 4 Euros per person, added at the end of the stay.
