Riad Amaris

My mum and I had a lovely three-night stay in the family suite at Riad Amaris. The freshly made breakfasts were a treat, and we enjoyed hearing birdsong on the rooftop. The design is beautiful and the riad feels very peaceful. The team’s hospitality made the place feel warm. They easily offered to move us from our original suite, brought tea or light refreshments in the afternoon, and when I was unwell, Abdu and Anas made ginger tea themselves and pointed us to the nearest pharmacy. Everyone was wonderful, especially Abdu, Anas, and the women who prepared breakfast. Ahmed was also very helpful with arranging transport from the hotel and sending arrival instructions promptly.

After traveling through 19 countries across 4 continents, I can say this Riad is a great place. It’s easy to reach from the street, and the room was clean, spacious, and well set up. Breakfast and the service were great too.

The terrace dining was my favorite part, and breakfast there was wholesome and good. The rooms were comfortable, with a mezzanine-style sleeping area in each one, which makes for a different kind of stay. The bathrooms were very good too. It’s a very nice Riad.

The thin walls were the one downside. We had a very noisy group who spoke loudly at breakfast and woke the whole riad early in the morning. The riad is beautiful and right in central Rabat. It’s clean, and while the rooms aren’t very big, they’ve kept the traditional style. Breakfast was traditional and delicious, the best I’ve had so far in Morocco.
