Riad Dar Dar

I was disappointed by the cleanliness this time. The bathroom was dirty, with hair in the sink and a dirty toilet, and the bedsheets had a strong chemical smell. The service also felt unprofessional. I'd stayed here in 2024, and couldn't remember why I hadn't booked again until I saw the same night receptionist. He greeted me just as badly as before, rude and condescending, without even saying hello. Definitely somewhere to avoid.

Omar and the rest of the staff took great care of us and were happy to respond to anything we asked. The bed was so comfortable that I slept better than I do at home. Riad Dar Dar made for a lovely stay.

Service was warm and welcoming, and we loved the fruit provided. We stayed four nights in the Rehaine room on the courtyard level. The room's Moroccan lighting and design were lovely, with very comfortable bedding and a firm mattress. The rooftop terrace and pool have a cute design. Breakfast was nice, though sweet and continental, with no meat or eggs. It could use more variety for a longer stay. Some practical touches would improve the room: more hanging space or shelves for clothes, especially for longer visits, hooks in the bathroom, a larger divider to stop shower water splashing everywhere, and a magnifying mirror.

Omar and Matata were great managers, so helpful. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the service was excellent. It's a lovely little riad with very friendly staff, in a perfect spot for wandering around the old Medina.
