We were welcomed so warmly by the family, and they made us feel at home. We ate together in the evenings and chatted with Google Translate for Arabic, along with a little English and French. Being in a small village and seeing everyday life in Morocco was fascinating, and everyone we met was friendly and welcoming. The family also cooked lovely meals and helped with our dietary needs. I’m gluten free and my partner is vegetarian. We loved the beautiful culture and landscape and would love to come back. March was sunny and the weather felt perfect to us, even though the locals were dressed very warmly.

We were welcomed into the family’s home and invited to break fast with them. It made for a really great experience, and this homestay was one of our favourite parts of a two-week tour around Morocco. Since it’s close to the airport, it also worked well as the first stop on our road trip south.

You’re staying right inside the family’s home, so you get a glimpse of how locals live. They run a simple business there, and we had delicious home-cooked food. We also picked up some groceries at their little store downstairs. Definitely worth a stop.

Staying with this friendly family felt very authentic, and dinner was amazing. I’d highly recommend it if you want to experience the local culture with a welcoming family. There’s also a calm beach just a few minutes away by car.
