The tajines were some of the best I've ever had, and I really appreciated how hard everyone tried to meet our needs. We only stayed one night, but the peaceful setting by the lake, with mountains all around, made it feel like a proper break. We got on well with the other guests, including people into fishing and hiking. It was relaxing, and I'd love to return in winter. The room was very hot at night, though, and the sheets could have been cleaner.

That view stayed with me. The scenery was stunning, whether we were having coffee in the morning or watching the sunset. The hosts were warm from the minute we arrived, and their care and attention to detail made us feel right at home. A lovely choice for a peaceful getaway.

The kids were delighted by all the animals, cats, dogs, peacocks and more. We also hiked nearby and swam in the lake. The banks were a bit littered, although the water seemed fairly clean. The room and bathroom were comfortable and quite clean, and the food was great. It has a relaxed, friendly feel and is a nice spot for a day or two.

Set within Tazekka National Park, the lodge faces le barrage de Bab Louta and makes a great base for lake activities or long walks through the wooded area. We could also just relax and listen to the birds. The hosts gave us a wonderful experience of being immersed in nature, unlike anywhere else we've stayed in Morocco. Definitely somewhere I'd return to.
