The mountains and the quiet location, away from the crowds, are lovely. The stay itself was poor, though. The listed amenities weren’t there, and even though they said there was a fridge, I was charged for food I’d already paid for when I wanted to keep the leftovers. I was also overcharged for food. My room wasn’t cleaned once during the whole week. Transportation cost far more than the price I’d been told beforehand. It’s a shame to see this kind of thing done for money. I don’t mind paying for a service when the price and offering are clear, but these sneaky practices left a bad taste over the whole vacation. The area is amazing, but the service was so poor that I absolutely wouldn’t recommend this stay.

The place itself is nice and calm, and the woman looking after it was kind. But the owner never came by and kept giving us strange instructions over the phone, like closing the common Salon and telling us not to go in. There was no dinner because he hadn’t done the grocery shopping, and he asked us to leave our rooms before the agreed checkout time. We had no towels in the rooms, and when we asked for more toilet paper, we were told there wasn’t any. There were no curtains on the windows, so the morning sun came in early. In the middle of the night we found a rat in one room, and four of us had to share another room. Flies also bothered us all night. It’s a good place, but unfortunately they don’t take care of it or their guests as they should.

The views from the hotel are amazing, and so was the hospitality from samera and Khadija. We stayed at this resort in ourika, having come from marrakesh. We don’t speak Arabic or French, but Khadija was helpful and hospitable, translating and using Google Translate so we could communicate. The girls were amazing. Sameera’s chicken tajine was the best we’d had so far. Breakfast was lovely too, with Moroccan-style bread, honey, butter, cheese, and amlu (almond butter). It was cold, but they helped us with everything.
