Three tired cyclists found a welcome resting place here. The staff even took our bikes to a secure garage and were so helpful. Great hot showers and tagines too, 5/5. I’d definitely recommend it.

The peaceful setting blends beautifully with Ahansal’s nature, and the place feels authentic, simple, and respectful of local culture. Our stay at Maison dHote Dar Ahansal was truly special and exceeded what we expected. Ahmed and his colleague welcomed us from the start. Their kindness, professionalism, and thoughtful attention made us feel at home and kept everything comfortable. Thank you, Ahmed, for your generosity, warm spirit, and dedication, and for that delicious dinner. We highly recommend Maison d’Hote Dar Ahansal to anyone looking for calm, authenticity, and a real human connection. We hope to return very soon.

Dinner and breakfast were a letdown, with little effort and not up to the hotel’s standard. The room itself was a good size, with a very comfortable bed, balcony, good lighting, and sockets where you need them. The hotel is beautiful and immaculately kept, and there’s also camping with lush grass for pitching a tent.

We came by motorbike for two nights at Dar Ahansal, and it was a fantastic place to pause and take in village life in the High Atlas. There are lovely bike rides nearby, along with short and long walks. The hotel is peaceful, though you can still hear the village around you. Our room showed off local craftsmanship and had a spacious balcony over the well-kept gardens, with the high mountains in the distance. We were made very welcome, and the food was just right after a day biking. We’ll definitely come back.

The downstairs rooms have balconies with nice views of the surrounding mountains. There’s also a pleasant living room with a pool and fountain. The staff are very friendly, and the food was delicious, usually a nice Berber tajine for dinner.
