Hotel Poseidon

The location is excellent, but the surroundings take away from it. There are shacks, parking sprawls chaotically, and the area seems to get little environmental consideration. It ends up feeling neglected, when it could have been a highlight. Staff were friendly and polite, but the buffet was painfully unimaginative and short on variety. For a seaside hotel, having no seafood on the menu felt like a missed opportunity. Our room had a sewer smell that wouldn't go away. Staff acknowledged it but offered neither a fix nor compensation, which was disappointing at this level of hospitality.

The views were amazing, though you can't see the sunset, just a little of it. There's a beach right downstairs, but it's rocky, so swimming is hard. Budva Old Town isn't far, and the small market is a one-minute walk away. A bigger one is five minutes by car. For the price, you get lovely views and can save some money. The people on staff were very nice and always smiling. We arrived before check-in, but they kindly gave us a room early. Restaurant food was nice, though maybe 2-5 euros more than local places, and breakfast had a nice spread.

An absolute peak of a hotel. My wife and I had so much fun, she gained lots of souls.

The service was awful and the prices were like on Capri. It's unbelievable for a place so focused on tourism to have an empty fridge and not even offer welcome water. The hotel was dirty, with bird shit that had never been cleaned and a swallow's nest right on the terrace. What a shame.
