Olimp Lux II

The location is superb, and there is an oven for cooking fresh fish whenever you want. But the service needs improvement. My wife and I stayed in September 2020, and although the apartments advertise themselves as 4-star, housekeeping was terrible. One night we slept under a towel because we'd forgotten to leave the sheets out, and there was a fight about the bed linen. The outside air conditioning unit hummed like an airplane, making sleep impossible. The Wi-Fi password they gave us was for the neighboring apartments, and the signal was only good in the bathroom. The dishwasher had no tablets or fabric softener. The bathroom door's towel hooks couldn't be reached from the shower. There were no extra trash bags, one room lamp didn't work, and basic instructions were missing.

The apartment was in a multi-storey building beside an extremely noisy highway, with intercity traffic going 24/7. It was impossible to sleep properly, and spending a vacation next to that road was terrible. I don't know why no one mentions it in the reviews. You can partly see the sea from the window, and the apartment was renovated decently and had what we needed, but the road ruined the whole impression. The city is very noisy too. There was almost nowhere to lie down on the beach, and walking along the promenade in the evening was impossible because of the sea of people.

We really appreciated how close everything was: the old town and beaches are just nearby. Mogrin is about a 15-minute easy walk to the right, while Slovensk is around five minutes to the left. Supermarkets and the central market are also close. Our room was on the fifth floor, number 39, with a sea view from the window and a spacious terrace with a table and chairs for four. There was sun in the daytime, and the thick exterior blinds could be lowered or opened from inside to manage the morning light. There weren't curtains. The kitchen is small but well equipped, with dishes, cutlery, pans, pots, a large fridge, microwave, kettle, and even a corkscrew. We also had an iron and board, hairdryer, washing machine, balcony drying rack, mops, plenty of storage and outlets, plus air conditioning and a heater in both the living room and bedroom. Towels were replaced every four days, but the sheets weren't changed during our week. There was no restock of toilet paper or dish soap, and only two bars of soap were there when we arrived. We still recommend the place.

The room was in pretty bad shape. It smelled strongly, the dishes were dirty, and the floor had lots of dust; the cleaning cloth was wet and dirty too. The sofa was old and wobbly, with hard, sharp bits sticking out. The blinds dropped when we tried to open them gently, and there was no lock on the toilet.
