KAAB Boutique Hotel

The owners were so kind and welcoming that we felt completely at home. I hope we can come back someday. The property is beautifully designed and well maintained, the beach is stunning, and the Wi-Fi was fast enough for both of us to take meetings without trouble. Breakfast was outstanding, and I’m a foodie. This was easily the best hotel of our trip through Croatia, Albania, Montenegro, and Greece, even though we stayed in some five-star places along the way. We’ll always remember our stay. Highly recommend!

The quiet village setting was a lovely part of the stay, though a rental car is needed to explore properly. There aren’t many amenities nearby, so it may not suit someone who wants easy access to shops and restaurants. We were disappointed to find a lot of seaweed on the shore after a storm had damaged the beach shortly before our visit. That was outside the hotel’s control, and the warm hospitality more than made up for it. The family running this small hotel were attentive from the moment we arrived and helped with everything, from local suggestions and car rentals to rides to the nearest city. Our room was clean, stylish, and thoughtfully laid out, with a breathtaking view. The sunsets were among the best on the coast, and waking up to that landscape made the stay feel special. Breakfast was fresh, homemade, generous, and delicious, easily enough for two. A hidden gem for a peaceful, authentic break away from crowds, if you don’t mind having a car. P.S. I wish I’d remembered to post this same review on booking when I had the chance.

The hosts are genuinely friendly and ready to help with anything. We arrived on a wavy day, and the owner lent me his SUP so I could catch some gentle waves. It felt welcoming and secluded from big city life, while still close to good restaurants in the bay or Ulcinj. The beach is sandy, which is rare along this coastline, and there were enough sunbeds and umbrellas to spend the whole day there. Fresh drinks were always available in the hotel bar fridge. The breakfast is fit for kings, with homemade cakes, breads, pancakes, fresh salads and fruit, eggs, ham and cheese platters, plus homemade oat flakes, chia, nuts, and fruit yogurts. It kept us going until dinner, and leftovers could be taken to the room in a provided bag and stored in the fridge. The coastline view made breakfast last twice as long. The hotel is accurately clean, with daily wet cleaning, and everything is well maintained. Highly recommended, this was a truly exceptional stay and a great pleasure.
