Apartments Blue Lagoon

I couldn't even check into the room I'd booked. The air quality and oxygen levels didn't seem fit for a person, and there were no mosquito screens on either the door or the sloped roof window, so airing it out would mean letting in every kind of insect. The photos were very misleading, too. There's no private apartment on the property's top floor, and the terrace is shared. My assigned room was between two corner units and didn't have a proper window. The bedroom walls were damp, moldy, and water-damaged. I'd booked so my elderly parents could wake up to a beautiful bay view, but with all these problems we couldn't check in. I expect the full amount refunded to my card without deductions!

The room was nothing like the one I'd booked, and the door was broken. The bed seemed to be slowly coming apart after being eaten by mites, and the big bed swung. The supposed bed in the living room looked more decorative, given how many slats were properly in place. The shower drain was clogged, there wasn't a single bin, and hygiene wasn't good either. A complete horror for that much money.

We really liked the place and hope to come back. It's a little uphill, 300 meters from the sea, but quiet, pretty, and set back from the road. The first-floor balcony stays shaded, so it wasn't too hot, and you can see a bit of the sea. Upstairs on the second floor, the bay view opens up beautifully. The beds were comfortable. We spoke with the owner and the helper, both pleasant men. There were a few small plumbing issues, but they were all sorted out.

The place was overpriced for its standard, and cleanliness was poor.
